Woman Winemaker, Micaela Fonseca took over Quinta do Ferro in 2011 and has focused on producing white and sparkling wines. Organic and hand harvested, this is not a typical Vinho Verde. It's complex, creamy, a little structured - good for Chardonnay lovers who like lighter wines.
Made with Avesso, Arinto, Trajadura, and Loureiro grapes that offer ripe peach, apricot, and a touch of honey and white flowers on the nose. Rich fruit on the palate, with flavors of peach and dried apricot, and a refreshing slightly fizzy finish.
The low (11%) ABV and twist top make this wine perfect for a picnic in the park.
