Chateau des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2022
Chateau des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2022
From the soul of Bordeaux France - the left bank of the Garonne to be exact, this is a super expressive blend of primarily Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes. Before sipping, you are met with grapefruit, mint, tropical fruit, along with the familiar vegetal and grassy notes Sauvignon Blanc is known to have. The mouthfeel is filling and the acidity is present and very balanced. A refreshing wine that's fruit forward with the help of the Semillon grape, but is a dry style wine ready for unique food pairings.
Wine-making: 2-hour skin maceration. Pneumatic pressing. Settling and cold storing, alcoholic fermentation thermo-regulated at 16-18°C. Batonnage of the lees for 15 to 30 days. Aged in stainless steel vats.
Vineyard Practice: The management of the vineyard is part of an environmental approach for a thoughtful and sustainable agriculture. The entire estate has obtained High Environmental Value Level 3 (HVE3) certification since the 2018 harvest.

This family owned and run Estate is housed in a 13th century convent that was built for the monks of the order of Saint Antoine, who occupied this Abbey for five centuries. In 1985, Geoffroy and Martine de Roquefeuil settled on his family property and revived the wine and hospitality tradition of the Antonins monks. With the soul of a countryman and a winemaker, Geoffroy brought the vineyards and cellar back to life. Lover of nature and concerned about preserving it, Geoffroy and Martine (and now their son, Antoine) have worked tirelessly to preserve the terroir of their Estate adopting strict sustainable farming practices.
