La Varenne Chinon Tradition 2020
La Varenne Chinon Tradition 2020
100% Chinon (Cabernet Franc) from the Loire Valley France, the grapes were destemmed before pressing, very short pruning and leaf thinning of the 35-40 year old vines to optimize grape health and terrior expression. The soil is gravelly-sandy on the plain, among sandy-limestone slopes which lends to a mineral expression of the wine. Bottle aged in caves for a few months before release.
A fleshy nose revealing the perfect ripeness of this superb vintage. Fresh, juicy & delightful palate, with a rich texture & length already revealing the soft leather, black fruits & raciness of the tannins. Spice notes with moderately high mouthwatering acidity.
